Renewables: Anticipate adding additional renewable generation sources. Maintenance of existing renewable fleet. R&D efforts focused on lowering renewable operating and maintenance costs. Energy Storage: Battery storage projects operating or under development across the U.S. R&D continues to pursue cost-effective, long-duration storage options. Electric Transmission & Distribution: Continued investment in grid modernization including smart grid technology and cybersecurity protection.
