Organization Profile

Chester County, South Carolina is located along Interstate 77 (I-77) between two metros that allows companies to maximize talent attraction. We are 40 minutes from Charlotte, NC and 50 minutes from Columbia, SC. We are also only 40 minutes from Charlotte-Douglas International Airport (CLT), the 6th busiest airport in the world, with direct Canadian flights to Toronto, Montreal, Calgary, and Quebec City. We are the #1 manufacturing county in the Charlotte region with the #1 highest percentage of our private-sector workforce in manufacturing (45 percent) and #1 in manufacturing job growth. Since 2020 Chester County has announced more than $1.56 billion and created more than 1,550 jobs, including Canadian roofing giant IKO Industries with $500 million in capital investment and 200 jobs with two projects in Chester (a fiberglass plant and mat plant). We have large, certified sites ready to help you grow your business in the southeast U.S. This includes sites with dual-rail service via the L&C Railroad (one of the few places in the southeast) and sites that can support heavy natural gas loads.
