Meeting Objectives

NB Power is interested in meeting suppliers that put safety first and can provide reliable manufactured electrical equipment with a high value for money consideration. Lead times related to the supply equipment required for the growth and ensure reliability of our generation and transmission infrastructure are an area of focus. Demonstrating proven experience in an electrical utility, reducing lead times, assurance of supply and evidence of an ethical supply chain are important elements when evaluating contract options. New and Innovative products and services for sale to our residential customers would also be of interest.

Organization Profile

New Brunswick Power Corporation (“NBPC”) is a vertically integrated full service electric utility and is the primary utility responsible for the generation, transmission, and distribution of electricity in New Brunswick. With a staff of approximately 2,900, NBPC is the largest utility in Atlantic Canada and operates one of North America’s most diverse generation and interconnected transmission systems. NBPC has a wide customer base, serving 400,000 direct and indirect residential, commercial, wholesale, and large and small industrial customers by way of 21,358 km of distribution lines, substations, terminals and switchyards that are interconnected by 6,905 km of transmission lines. NBPC’s 2023-24 revenue was approximately $2.9 billion.
