Organization Profile
Hoowaki LLC is a small advanced technology, materials company, with more than 50 patents covering our micro surface technology. We are located in Greenville, South Carolina. The technology was developed to keep implanted medical devices from sliding or migrating and to enable laparoscopic and robotic procedures for devices that pop-in-place without need for sutures or traumatic hooks or barbs.
We have now scaled the technology to produce MicroGrip™️ anti-slip and fall, high grip polymer films up to 74 inches wide by 10,000 feet long in truckload and larger quantities. Our films have higher coefficient of friction when wet, oily or soapy than any other rubber, plastic or textile solution. We offer grip equal or superior to grit-based safety products in a thin film at 1/10th the thickness and weight of grit-based products and our solution is non-abrasive, non-particulate, and can be clear or opaque, and made in polymers including polypropylene, acrylic, polycarbonate, polyurethanes, TPE and engineering resins like PEEK.
Applications for anti-slip and fall and high grip include: roofing underlayment and construction tapes, surface protections films, floor graphics, packaging, labels, tapes and safety mats for bath and other wet, soapy or oily environments.
Our business model is to produce and sell film to convertors and large OEMs who in turn can provide branded or private label products to the market.
